We spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

We had a good time at the Carnegie Science Center and saw the robot exhibit. Maya especially liked the exhibit where you stand against the wall and the light flashes and then you can see your silhouette on the wall for a few seconds.

We brought the Children's School quilt to the PDL machine room so that Mom could photograph it. While we were there we couldn't resist running through the big computer.

Maya lost her first tooth! She had a great time at her art camp and made lots of Egyptian stuff.

Maya started first grade. This year she gets to ride a school bus to school.

We like to watch trains! We grew some tomatoes, purple beans, basil, and strawberries in our garden this year.

Maya started celebrating her birthday early when Grandma Connie and Papa Morris came to visit. She lost her second tooth.

Shane enlisted his sisters to pose for some photos for a homework project. He turned the photos into a comic strip.

Maya checked out Dad's new electric guitar. She counted all the leaves on a house plant for her science homework.

Dad baked a cake for Maya's actual birthday. Maya found a library book that really interested her. She read it all by herself.

The next week Maya had her birthday party at the Gemini Theater performance of Aladin. We made magic carpets and visited with the cast before the show.

We went to Mr. Max's house to see his Halloween decorations.

Maya played Dynamo soccer on the U6 gold team this year.

We went to the Pausch bridge lighting and checked out the new gates building.

We carved our pumpkins on Halloween. Maya asked Mom to carve a bat on her pumpkin. Maya dressed up as a ballerina. We got an enormous amount of candy. Shane and Maya sorted it and tallied how many of each type they got for a homework project.

We went on the Mr. Roger's Neighborhood tour at WQED. We met Mr. McFeely and got his autograph.
